The Job

• Full cycle accounting duties including day-to-day, month-end, and year-end reporting activities.
• Investigation and implementation of Law Society of BC rules.
• Supervision of all aspects of legal accounting department with demonstrated knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, billing, time recording, payroll (using Payworks), budgeting, equipment leasing, trust accounting, and managing the group benefits plan.
• Accounting software (Acumin) general ledger maintenance and design at the user level.

The Ideal Candidate

• Accounting designation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years post designation experience.
• Experience in legal, accounting, or engineering offices is considered an asset.
• A self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage demanding workload with many deadlines.
• A highly motivated individual, with high standards, strong work ethic, and integrity
• Strong computer skills using Excel

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Accounting: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred)

Pay: From $64,170.00 per year*
