Senior Accounting ClerkKamloops
We are seeking a full-time Senior Accounting Clerk for our downtown Kamloops location. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Bank reconciliations
- A/P & A/R
- Posting and reviewing expenses and disbursements, and posting Court Registry cheques/charges
- Activating new file openings or closed files, address changes, etc.
- Fix database errors as required
- Setting up new users on platforms such as BC online, BCeID, Passportal, MyLtsa, and BC Registry
- Quarterly TAF remittance to the Law Society of BC
- Updating lawyer rates on files, and disbursements
- Pay lawyers expenses, preparation of general cheques, wire transfers, topping up online accounts, and posting court registry cheques and charges
- Holiday/Sick day coverage for other accounting staff
- Supervisor of one junior accounting staff
- Other duties as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience (with ideally 2 yrs of trust experience)
- Strong computer and technical skills including proficient knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Experience using LEAP software is a bonus
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and a part of a collegial team.
- Highly dependable and adaptable, with a strong work ethic.
- Strong ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Self-starter and a team player.

Salary
The starting salary for this position is $55,000 - $60,000; however, salary will be commensurate with experience.
