On the closing date, we make sure that you really own the property, you paid the right amount for it, and all the paperwork is complete and correct. We’ll check that the person selling you the property has a right to sell it and that no one else has a claim to it. We’ll contact the municipality or regional district to make sure that the property does not violate any by-laws and that all taxes have been paid. We’ll also investigate any special restrictions on the property such as access by others to the property. For those purchasing with someone else, we even explain the difference between being joint tenants or tenants in common. All documents are carefully reviewed and discussed with you. We also handle mortgages, subdivisions and foreclosures. If you are involved with building or development, we offer a full range of services to assist you.
